The first structure was a brutal unshaped building that span over the existing roofs without adjusting to the surrounding roof-scape.
Therefore the top floors were altered in shape and extension in order to match the surround roof-scape.

First a shape for the top floor was created that matched each of the surrounding sides but therefore lacked a consistent expression.
So a number of various spaces with different zones for the top floor was tested and finally a shape found that showed the inner spaces and was able to activate the surrounding rooftop areas by means of boardwalks onto other buildings. |
