and Chuo Dori develop two fronts

The blocks of buildings between Akihabara's main street - Chuo Dori - and the new development at Akihabara Station - “Akihabara Crossfields” - used to face to the big street. With the new focus on A.Crossfields they develop two “front” facades; with each of them having to cater to very different types of users. Chuo Dori is known for its electronic stores and its “otaku” population, while around the office buildings of A.Crossfields “IT people”, business people and students of the University of Tokio are supposed to spend their time.
